Stephanie Hulsey Artist

Welcome to my studio!

So awesome that you have found something in my artwork that calls to you!

My name is Stephanie but love to be called Steph.  Currently based in the Moreton Bay Region of Brisbane, Australia. Slowly inching myself closer and closer to the beautiful countryside and setting up a beautiful artist studio amongst the hills, fresh air, and roaming animals.  When I’m not in my studio painting, you can find me chilling with my husband and our fur babies.  Enjoy playing video and board games, watching movies, being amongst nature, driving adventures, going down the rabbit hole of researching the most random of thoughts, and eating yummy fooodz for days!!

Artist bio

Stephanie Hulsey is a neurodivergent expressive artist, currently based in the Moreton Bay Region of Brisbane.  Throughout her childhood, Stephanie experienced years of travel and living abroad in various countries such as Malaysia and Indonesia, bringing her rich cultural and worldly experiences.
Stephanie’s special interest has been art and art-making from the moment she was capable of holding a pencil or paint brush.  It is a way for Stephanie to express and find a voice for things that cannot be expressed through typical language.

During Stephanie’s high school years, she started to see the healing potential in her own expressive art making and would later in her twenties discover the depth of how art can move, create deep meanings, insights, healing, and therapeutic transformations while working through her own life challenges.

Stephanie studied fine art at Queensland College of Art along with many years of self-exploration, (you may have stumbled across her work in art exhibitions and art markets!)

Stephanie is inspired most by the life and works of Frida Kahlo, and all that she encompassed.  Additionally, she draws inspiration from photography (particularly black and white photography), the human body, the human experience, and nature.

Stephanie’s artworks are expressive, abstract, and at times have various different connotations throughout. She utilises the mediums of watercolour and acrylic paint on both fine art paper and canvas.

Stephanie is currently selling her works through her website and social media channels to private collectors, both in Australia and internationally.
